A guy in my area posted for sale a "Brand new carvex psc 420 18v" asking $250. At first, sounds interesting.

Click on it and the pic is of an older T-Loc Systainer. Now, I'm new this year to Festool ownership so I don't know enough, but I think I read that T-Locs have been out for a few years and the current model is the EB-Basic. I'm curious to know how old we would expect the Carvex to be and if it works with modern 18v batteries? Granted, in the pics, it does look very clean - even the manual, warranty book and lid card look in great shape.

What do you guys think and how much is a reasonable offer?

Thanks!

Yes, it would work with the current batteries (just not the Ergo batteries for cordless sanders). Each tool has the date of manufacture on the label with the serial number.

$200, new and in the Systainer? That's an absolute bargain. I got a new old stock one from McFeely's for $338.80 when they closed out Festool and I thought that was a great price.
