How set the TS55 0/45 bevel index (to zero)?

Hi,

Sorry, this is crosspost :-[ I asked yesterday same question (general section), but didn't get a lot of response. I hope you don't mind asking here (again). Otherwise please remove this post.

As you can see on the picture the indicator for the angle sits just below 0. Saw is brand new (not used). I did read the manual and they state the FT after service could adjust it.

Is it just a matter of turning the screw (picture, yellow circle)?Or is there more to it?

The screw actually adjusts the blade angle at 0°. To only adjust the indicator you'll need the screw in the top of the picture.

If you can make the adjustment simply - Great.
I bought a Recon TS 55 that was supposed to be “reconditioned” - And wasn’t.
The base plate COULD NOT be registered to 90 or 45 degrees with the blade -
Even though the indicator showed it was.
I sent it back to Festool. They fixed the problem.
Something to check/consider.

In case Festool misses this thread I would suggest that you call them at the 888 337-8600 phone number and talk to service.  They are helpful and having them on the phone can be helpful.
