How to connect D36 hose to D27 tools?

I am trying to completely replace my shop vac with a ct midi. To maximize performance I picked up a D36 hose. But I don't see any obvious way to connect the hose to the domino or sanders with D27 connectors. Is there an obvious pi from I have missed?  Should I pick up a 487071 and cut off the rotating end? I looked at 452897, but it says it is for connecting hoses, and is not anti static.

Hi Stoli,

to connect the 36 mm hose to 27 mm tool dust ports you need an adapter.

In Europe that adapter is sold by Festool (only shortly) No 768135 but not in the USA (yet).

Good news is, it is a generic Nilfisk Alto part that you CAN buy in the USA. Link

Alex:  thanks for the info.  That looks like an easy, reasonably priced solution.

Quick followup: I purchased the Nilfisk Alto part identified by Alex, and it is a perfect fit: one end fits into the D36 hose, the other end is an exact match for the tool end of the D27 hose and fits over the port on my Domino.  One thing that was not listed anywhere is that this piece is stamped "AS", which I assume stands for "anti-static".

I'll have to see if the stiffness of the D36 hose hinders sanding operation, which was pointed out in the other thread.  If that is the case, I can buy another D27 tool end and make a hose whip like Bob M is selling.
