How to flatten wobbly sanding pads

Hi, the hard pad for my ETS 150 is not flat. I'm not sure if it has always been this way. I reckon so, because it has always been difficult to maintain a flat sand on narrower edges. Installed in the machine and spun slowly by hand, it's clearly wobbling. Placed on my table saw top, it rocks a couple mms.

Can this be fixed somehow? Covered by warranty? I was thinking of putting it in very warm water, with the hopes it will return to flat, if it ever was.

I've got full sets of pads for my Rotex 150, Rotex 90, and the ETS 150, and none have this issue.

I don't think you can fix this, there's tension in the pad and it won't just go away.

It is also not something you can claim warranty for. Only if your pad came brand new out of the package like that you could get a new one, but not after you've used it.

One could ask nicely, in case it hasn't been in use for some years...

Well if the pad is bad, there's no harm trying! The same trick works on paint brushes, etc. to straight the bristle plastic back to original. Like memory.
