Nice video.

While I was watching I noticed something though, if you make the two edges parallel before flattening the face touching the tablesaw top don't you take a chance that the second edge may not be squared after jonting and planning since the bottom of the board running against the tablesaw top may wobble since it could be cupped, bowed or twisted? I always learned to square it first (flatten one edge and the bottom to make a 90 degree corner) then parallel the top and bottom on the planer and then parallel the edges using the tablesaw.

Have you come across any issues like that? or am I just being paranoid :)

Nice video,

You might want to consider your hand position when using the joiner since pushing a concave or convex board over the joiner with hand pressure just on the middle of the board might not yield a straight board.  I believe that I had viewed a video on here from one of our UK members where he shows the proper hand pressure from start of cut to finish.

Thanks for the video A man,

Your method is not the method I would use but each to his own. ( I could not recommend your method)

I would, with respect, just like to point out that cutting a crowned board (crown up) on a chop saw is not the best idea , (even with one side clamped down. [smile]

Enjoy your would working and please take care and be safe.
