Hi,

I have an opportunity to get a good buy on the FS800/2.  Can anyone comment on how useful this is.  I build mostly cabinets, 12 to 24 inches wide.

Thanks.

Brian

They're very useful when you want to cut something that's short [wink]

I actually got mine with my diamond cutting systems and my sword saw - wouldn't have thought to buy them otherwise ... the 800's are even more useful now I have a TSC55.

Don't hesitate.

An 800 is very convenient if you need to crosscut boards or other narrow stuff hand held - much easier to position with one hand than a 1400 and doesn't require very much width of the work piece to balance well enough over it for a quick cut.

Also makes a handy extension to a 1400 to get a 2200 guiderail when combined.

I got mine as part of the MFT/3 set and have it nowadays mostly in the FS-BAG with a FS1400/2-LR32 and a set of guide rail attachment lugs for the TSC55 jobs that come along.

I'm pretty sure you got a 1080 with the MFT.

The 800 is included in the OF 1010 SET, that's where I got mine. Very useful for small cuts. The old style FS-bag that I have also has a side'pocket' that is made for the 800
