Looking at the Festool HSS drill bits on various web sites, they look like brad point wood bits. I'm confused my local shops don't know all that much about Festool products.

I've ordered a set of the Imperial wood bits, but also need a set of the metal drilling bits. I like the Centrotec concept and want to stay with Festool products.

Unfortunately Festool dosen't off standard twist bits in imperial sizes, nor do they have the metric bits in a set, you have to buy them individually.

how are these bits?

as good of quality as the brad points?

That's a good question.  I've not used the few I have very often since I've got numerous, other brand imperial sized sets of decent quality.

The good thing about the Centrotec HSS Spiral Drill Bits is that they are actually a mandrel and 3 bits so they last quite a long time. If and when you break or dull those 3, you can readily get 10 more.
