Hummel pedestal, with apologies to Krenov and all Krenovians

Hii all.  I made a Krenovian wall cabinet as a project for my joinery class.  My wife pointed out that it could be more useful with drawers, so she could store jewelry in it.  Never told me that she had ideas for the top, too. 

Here's a shot of what I thought it would look like.  Its cherry, sprayed with shellac.  Mostly Festool made.  I used TS55, MFT, LS130 with a contoured pad to smooth the interior of the coopered door, OF1400 for dadoes, drawer front patterns, etc..

It's a really nice cabinet. Just remember the enjoyment you had building it.

My Great Aunt kept a Hummel figurine collection, but it was in a glass case with mirrored shelves.  ;D

Hey Seth, thanks for the kind words.  The first picture, without the hummel twins, I what I had in mind - simple clean lines.  Oh well, the customer is always right and it was fun to make.

You made a coopered door with the TS55?!  Wow.  Nice work, by the way.  Krenov, no doubt would have shot a pic of the shelves holding a rare mineral collection or some hand-carved chess pieces once owned by the King of Sweden, but this is America.
