I bought a ticket, I can join FOG now!

Darn expensive ticket I might add but I'm excited. Just picked up a TS55 and CT36 tonight. My local tool store had a Festool rep there today and tomorrow. I've been there before and talked to the sales guys but while nice and polite they didn't really seem to know much about Festool. After spending over an hour talking with the rep I was sold. Had a hard time getting out of there with just the saw and vac, almost walked out with a C15 and a RO sander. Hmmm they are open tomorrow too. 

I don't really do much woodworking, mostly more carpentry stuff now. Hoping to get into woodworking more this winter when it's too cold here in Green Bay to go outside and do anything else.

Don't worry about the C15 and Rotex, they'll be your property soon enough because that's what I read between your lines. And all those Festools will work great on carpentry jobs too.  You've just stepped into a whole new way of doing things.

Tomorrow you'll come across a project that you'll like, and say to your self, "Self, I have everything I need to do this, except a Rotex. If I had a Rotex, I could do this!"

Yes, your new festool goodies will start telling you that they need more friends.  Stacking those systainers is very addictive.  Under no circumstances, watch review videos here.  There is a strange affect of accelerating festool collection growth before you know it.

Now that you have started with Festool, you will be inventing woodworking projects just to get to use the tools. You will find plenty of carpentry, and remodeling jobs to use them for too.

Congratulations, Scott. I'm in a similar situation having ordered the TS55 through Amazon and fulfilled by Tool Nut. Problem is that it was supposed to have been delivered on Oct. 31 and I've yet to see it. Shipping by UPS but I get no info from the tracking number other than "in transit." I finally got through to Tool Nut this morning (Saturday) and the guy I talked to reminded me that they had a big blizzard out East that affected them for five days. I imagine that could have affected all ground shipping so I hope to see the saw this coming week. I'm ready to join your ranks.

Hahaha! First off thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I can't tell if this is the right place to be or maybe the totally wrong place to be for my budget.  [tongue]

No more purchases... so far. Was so busy this weekend I didn't even have time to test out my new toys. Got the vacuum bag in and the saw adjusted to the track. lol

Thanks for the info on the videos honeydokreg. Watched a few so far and will be sure to watch the rest soon. Very nice work!

Fingers crossed for you Dakotapix, hopefully it comes soon.
