Also I think because the maps on Google or the other apps are constantly updated.
That Nav system in your vehicle uses static maps that you have to pay to get the
updates for, at least that's what Ford wants for each of our three vehicles all with
the same version of maps loaded. Chevy is the same to update the Nav in one of
their cars. And a previous vehicle I had with the Clarion AutoPC Radio/Nav/CD system
was the same, pay $99 for the updates every year or however often you want them.
Best would be let me send my phone screen to the car display, work everything from
there and be done with it.
