We had to install some boxed frame sash units, rush job as the glazier was coming! (don't ask the obvious ? ) So Phil, who's been doing this work for many more years than me, and I set to ripping out the old ones and fitting the new.
The cills on the new ones are Iroko, 100mm thick and 275mm wide with a 9 degree bevel and 10mm step in them, and should have been cut flush with the back lining of the box. They were not. Phil reached for his hardpoint saw and I reached for the PSB300.
I made one cut to the depth of the rebate following the line of the back lining, then another from the inside face along a squared line to the front edge, using the splinter guard's pointer to guide me.
Result one square cut that only needed a quick sand up!
Phil was amazed, I know because he said, "That's one helluvva jigsaw Rob, mine would have said, **** that, before I plugged it in!" [laughing]
This led to a discussion about my other tools, the TS55 is now called "your straight line saw" and he reckons that Festool are telling "fibbywhoppers" because the battery pack says 14.4v and the power says 18v on the T15. ;D
I let him have a go of the T15, but did not like where he set it down.... on the cill of a first floor window! [eek]
At this point I stopped feeling like a rep, I think I am a bit more protective of my Festools, I have to pay for them!! ;D ;D
