There's one of these for not too much money in the classifieds over here --it's the bottom model in the Finish Pro range of AAA sprayers, much praised by Scott @ TCR, and I'm considering getting it for spraying cabinets, shelves, pieces of furniture, etc. with primer and paint, and why not stains and such. I also have a Graco ProShot, but the overspray is huge with those, although I can get a satisfying finish out of it (I'm sure I can improve on it, though). But the real drag with the PS is the amount of masking necessary due to the huge overspray.
Is it powerful enough? The gun it comes with is the AA30, not the G40. Good enough?
I'm just looking for something kind of easy to use (i.e. w/o the thinning a HVLP would require), that warrants a teeny-weeny less prep (i.e. less overspray), and something I can spray vertical with (with the powershot, move very fast or get runs). Also, the fact that I could use it as an standard airless to recoat a couple rooms @ home once in a while is appealing.
Any opinion as to wether the 290 will give better results than the ProShot,
and (most importantly) let me dial the pressure so I can minimize the overspray?
I'm tired of playing Dexter. BTW how come Zipwall doesn't endorse this guy?
Thanks !
David
