What famous person used and signed them, and did they come with a certificate of authenticity?

Yeah, a bit much...

:o

I pity the fool!Or do I???Maybe he thought they were the last festools on the planet

Yeah, this happens all the time.  I had my eye on an LS130 sander recently, the final bid plus shipping was 83% of the cost of a new one.  Of course, at that price, I'm just going to go buy a new one and get the warranty and that new-tool smell  [tongue]

Of course, if (God forbid) I ever have to sell my Festools, I'll appreciate people like that.

very true woodnerd.  I am amazed at how much festool tools are sold for on ebay.  I love to save a couple bucks, but give me that new tools smell and the warrenty.  For me, I want to be the first guy too power up the tool and cut/sand/drill something with it.

Even in the classifieds on FOG,  some items for sale are temping, but I also have the trust issue in the back of my mind.  I want to get my hands on the tool and turn it on.  Pictures are nice, but can be misleading.

But then you might have an interesting one come up.

A Domino with a Domino Assortment.  Two Systainers.  Rather than the original, two Fogtainers with the goods.  Authenticated.  Autographed.  Low mileage.  Less than 110 done.  Most for a contest here. Maybe two cutters used.  All accessories except round round rail fence.  Pins - not paddles.  4 mm dominoes and cutter.

You never know what people will pay.

Peter

Hard to believe the ebay prices when you can get a tool with a comprehensive warranty under the recent reconditioned programme for 10 or 20% off.

Why didnt the numpty buy them from a dealer for the actual normal rrp??????????????????????????????????????????? [huh] [eek]

hey maybe I should sign my festools and then auction them off and make some big bucks !!!! [laughing]
