Here's the vacuum diffuser I use when sanding finishes on my RS400. I found that the turtle is still too high of suction on the RS400 for fine finishes where you want the sander to gently glide on the surface.
I tried reducing the size of the intake but found it puts an unnecessary load on the motor. Then I was looking at PVC T fittings and could not find a right fit. So one morning my little one was enjoying a fresh cup of Barney cup milk when curiousity hit me and the rest is history.
I can now feel with the sander as if it was not connected to a vacuum at all yet there's no dust.
