I might have to start stacking table saws.

I will be dragging another dual arbor Universal saw bench home in the next couple weeks.

I have been waiting for the seller to come to reason with his asking price for a few months.  He needs to sell his large belongings due to a move to Florida.

This is an American USB, probably from the mid teens or so, maybe earlier and it is only 10 minutes from home.

I just have to coordinate getting a bobcat and trailer from my brother's boss, this saw weighs about 2500 pounds.

Does the second arbor also spin at the same time. This is a great old style setup , that is built to outlast us in the long run.
Great grab
Use it well

No, the flat belt drops off the arbor pulley as the arbor drops below parallel with the table top.

There is a counter shaft inside the saw that has 2 pulleys and rocks up and down to let the one arbor drop out.

I have a crude drawing of this arrangement somewhere, I will find it and post it.

I think my favorite part about it, is the old 5hp 3phase GE motor.  That thing has to weigh 300 pounds at least.

Holy %*#)!!!

How much if you don't mind me asking.  Use that beast in good health.  Talk about quality, overbuilt and durability.

I sent you a pm.  Yes, this saw is very well made and surprisingly simple in how it operates.

I now own two dual arbor saws.  I love the heft of something that has 3/4"+ thick castings.

Hey Darcy, this has your name on it!  A shaper with two motors and spindles:

Does this saw come with the SawStop technology?  [poke]

Nah, it was made before lawyers got so popular. [big grin]

And just where did you get the idea that lawyers were popular, aside for use in target practice, that is???

That having been said, you have quite a nice collection of old (and good) iron.

Maybe I should have said so populated. [big grin]

I want to shoot a video of this saw, it has a lot of neat features.

If you get enough saws, you may never have to change blades again.  One saw for the rip blade, one for fine cross cuts, one for laminates, etc.  Cool! 8)

That is the nice thing about dual arbor saws.  carry a cross cut and a rip blade, or a rip and a dado stack, or 2 dado stacks, or....

I will soon have two dual arbor saws, 2 saws 4 blades. [big grin]
