If you put the pot filler off to the side, it's out of the way of the grease and heat/steam that emanates from the range. It makes clean up easier and it will lengthen the life of the seals/o-rings. Pinterest should be spanked daily for their slavishly reproduced photos. If I ran that organization, heads would roll...it's a feel-good community and that's where it ends. Shame on them, no common sense.
The pot filler is also connected to a whole house water filter so the water we use to cook, the water we drink, the water the cats use and the water the dogs use is all filtered. The filter is changed every 6 months. It's also connected to the ice cube maker in the fridge which means I can bypass the internal water filter in the fridge which needs to be changed every 6 months. So a $23 whole house carbon filter replaces a $50 in-refrigerator filter. What's not to like?
