I need help identifying a small pest?

Sorry no idea how to even word the question, but in my room there seems to be a large infestation of some tiny tiny little bugs. They literally look like pencil marks with legs. Picture the tiny little red bug that hangs out on concrete. Now picture a bug half that size and black. If you have any idea what I'm talking about it would be nice if you could help so I know what to tell the pest control experts in the morning.

What kind of room?
Is there food stored in the area or adjacent rooms?
I had an infestation of bugs and turned out they were from stored grains, flour and such.
Sounds like a similar bug. If so, they can get into your walls and will eat the paper on drywall!
Don't remember what they were called.
Getting rid of the food source got rid of the bugs.

Not much info to go on.  Bug issues are so different based on locality - for instance a bug issue in Poona, India might different than one in the United States.  Since you are having the experts come, I would advise that you allow them to identify them and suggest an appropriate treatment.

Good luck but remember - bugs are like spam - they cause issues for some but are a money maker for others.
