Just kidding ;D ;D My motor came in today for my sand car. It's a blown, injected, alcohol burnin' sawed off aluminum GM motor. When I say sawed off.....I mean it. The 4 center cylinders are cut out and the front and back 1/2s are welded back together. may sound crazy but it makes 580 horse power and 550 ft lb of torque. ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D BTW, it weighs around 200lbs.

Just wondering, If I polish this with my Festool system, does it qualify for the contest this month? :D ;)
One more thing, you guys are the first to see it. Not even my dune buddies know about this yet. ;)
 
Here's the Festool car it goes in. Nice shade of green :D (Seats have been re-covered in black & grey ;))

Is that the replacement motor for your Kapex?
 
Not my Kapex but I bet my ROS150 FEQ will give it a run for its money. ;D they both need a steering wheel and brakes. :o
 
That looks bad ass. So it use to be a V8, but now it is a V4? I think I understand. I just ordered a Factory Five Racing catolog. Here is a link    www.factoryfive.com  I have always wanted to do somethiong like that, but who knows. We (my wife and I) are on a debt free plan that someday we won't owe anyone money, and we stick to it and sacrifice a lot, and maybe one day me and my kids can build a car like that someday. :)
 
I've always dreamed of an AC Cobra kit too. Have you ever seen Carrol Shelbys personal car? It went at the barret jackson auction for 5 million. It had twin Paxton superchargers dynoing at 1100 hp. That'll squeeze your kiwis. ;D If you rember, I posted a Hayabusa motorcycle for sale......this was payment in full. ;)
 
Well maybe after the college for all the kids is paid and I am old and gray I might be able to afford toys like that, have fun for me Bill!
 
Did you ever sell that Hayabusa? I had a Ninja at one time, that was alot of fun too. I think I am with Nick though, I will be old and grey before I can do anything like that again.
 
I traded it for the motor. Now he's selling it and buying one of the buggys I sell. ;D He rode it back to Phoenix and opened it up. He said he got up to 160 mph and got a little nervous but it had more. ;D
 
We're making some changes to the injection system and should make over 600hp. I spoke to another person with a similar motor in his sandcar and his response was only to say "VIOLENT POWER" :o
 
HAHA I fooled you all. This ia actually the new pre production Festool bandsaw. :D :D :D
