Two baskets are $3.98 but the shipping is $22.76!!!!!!!!
Looks handy for hand tools.

Wow, it's only two bucks.
It's amazing how little raw materials and labour can cost for Ikea. I once calculated that I can not even get quarter of the materials needed to make the same stuff they sell. Mileage of course varies here, but in Finland the raw materials are quite expensive, especially for private persons (companies using larger quantities of course get better discounts).

Mind you, most of the stuff Ikea nowadays sells really comes from China, so it's really the combination of somehow getting the raw materials for a ridiculous price and then having people work on it for way less than one euro/USD per hour.

While the Bysal may be nice, the Furstenstupen or Lingonhoffer provide superior clamp storage. Okay, I made those names up.

I wonder what you americans think about IKEA?s computer desk "Jerker"?
Hobby musicians on a small budget seems to like it for storing keyboards and monitors but it must be an odd namne for a piece of furniture.

It's actually a first name in swedish, although not a very common one...

Yeah hmm, I'm swedish as well  ::), and with my limited english vocabulary I always thought IKEA could have come up with an alternative name for the US/UK market.

Nah! I think it went out of production a few years ago. Still, ppl buy them second hand just to get a cheap and working home studio solution. Anyway I find i puzzling that IKEA choose to use the Swedish names for their products in US/UK. To me the names usually means something. Sometimes the naming of their product is really cleaver and sometimes it is just a word. But to you, who does not speak Swedish, I suppose it just sounds like nonsense?

Oh well, this is not exactly wood working, so back to my much to complicated book case project.

I thought I'd show a couple of photos of the Ikea baskets (both sizes) on my MFT/3
Currently, one holds the Festool clamping elements, and the other contains the Black & Decker dogs that fit the MFT nicely.

Hi guys,
Got me two "Bygel" today. They works really great with for the clamps.
Will make a new bottom of MDF tomorrow with drilled holes for the MFT accessories.

You can put both in the V groove or in the T track( make it basket to get more under the table)!

Hello,

I found that Ikea's "Omar" bookshelf works great together with Systainer. It has a perfect width to fit to Systainers on one shelf!
its about $40 bucks so its really affordable!  :P

alanz - I know this was an old post, but I like the storage/docking area you have for the TS.

What kind of hardware is needed to hang something off the rail like that ? My shop is at my cottage, but once I found out what I need, I'm running to my hardware store or Lee Valley store RIGHT NOW.

I just bought a kit with 1/4" T-bolts (5/16" were sold out).  Would 1/4" be too small for the MFT tracks ?
