Impact drill/driver for USA market

I wish Festool would produce an Impact driver for the US for two reasons. They are more effective at driving long screws, like for decking/framing, and prevent jerking of the hand/wrist when the screws seat. I have gotten wrist injuries from using normal drill/drivers, and need to avoid that. I would like to add a Festool impact driver to my suite of other Festool tools

Or you could buy 2 DeWalt brushless 20V and a couple spare batteries and also save some money in the process

Rumor is there is a new impact coming, if so it will be out overseas first, then if brought to n America there will typically be a delay... if a new model does come out I am sure there will be plenty of notice followed by reviews etc

Festool is going the route of using reverse magnetics in combination of ion pulses controlled by lasers to do the impact. It spins at 24,000 RPM but is so controlled that you don't feel the impact or noise. Completely silent.

Low low cost of 4,000

I'm mad to get an impact driver and really only want to get festool

Despite the ton of Festools that I own, I use Milwaukee 12 and 18v systems.  I have the new hydralic impact and it is amazing. I've been using the regular impact for a few years now, I install steel and aluminum entrances and automatic doors and the impact is a must.  the new hydralic is quieter than my drills.

I too bought the Milwaukee surge impact just this week.  Awesome tool.

Festool should be ashamed of themselves for not having an Impact for the US market. Instead they introduce TWO hammer drills. which is just dumb since most have a corded one here.
