Became a little impulsive earlier today and ordered the M12 BDDXKIT-202C 4-in-1 Drill Driver Kit from the UK.  Any idea if I will have to pay any fees or taxes upon delivery in AZ.

I ordered some reusable ct22 bags last year and there wasn't any issue but power tools may be a different issue?

Not sure what I will do with the charger(already have 4 or 5 so not a big deal) but everything else should work.

You will probably get a bill, but it shouldn't be too bad. The last item I got from the UK was declared at £275 and the customs and duties were around $20.

Depends how they ship it really.

At times, I've gotten hit with huge fees (like $50 on a $200 item) because UPS uses their own customs clearing houses and are almost free to charge what they want. They have a clause that says you can ask them not to use their own clearing houses and can use the US govt operated clearing houses, but you literally have to intercept the package at the port.

Shipped postal mail, you're usually much better off and you pay the duties only, not some arbitrary fee that UPS tacks on.

Note that FedEx is known to do the same as UPS.

You can ask the shipper to prepay the customs fees, but someone pays either way.

Same thinking here as SAE, I have imported thousands of dollars of goods from overseas for my business, when shipped through their countries postal service (ie Royal Mail, Canada Post...), I have not been dinged with any fees. However the one shipment I received from the UK shipped with UPS was charged a customs fee, about 20 bucks if I recall, so nothing huge. Ask them how they ship and ask if they can use Royal Mail, where the USPS would deliver it to you here in the USA.

This is all that is listed on the invoice I rec'd.

                                  Subtotal:                            £132.25
                      Delivery (Express International Zone 6 > 2-3 Day ):£36.65
                                  TOTAL:                                £168.91

I think it may have said DHL when I was checking out?

Customs duties typically won't be on the invoice, since they aren't charged by the seller. You'll get a bill later from the carrier.

I ordered some shoes from Germany a few years back, about $240.  I got a surprise from UPS when the delivery came.  They demanded about $45 for the duty and I had to pay before they would leave the package.  Never had any problems with packages coming through regular mail.
