You were always the first place I went to when looking up Festool. I'm a serious hobbyist but you always took time to talk to me and many times talked me out of tools that weren't necessary for the job at hand.

Will truly miss the personal touch.

You have my heartiest congratulations on your imminent retirement. I highly recommend it.

As a fellow, early Festool dealer (I think you beat us to the punch though), you set a very high bar for us and all the dealers that followed. Your customer service was legendary (and darn tough to beat - it was hard to compete with nearly 24hr tech support!). Most of all, as a fellow dealer, you were friendly, ethical, and competed fairly. There were not many competitors with those qualities. You were truly one of the good guys!

Now, enjoy your retirement. Perhaps you will now have time to spend in the shop exercising those great tools you sold.

If I was there first it could only have been by a month or so and as I remember - you had that incredibly informative website that was simply the best Festool website out there. Phew, was that a tough one to compete against though.

My first experience with Festool was with Bob. If i remember correctly, he called me back on his personal cell phone after hours (time zone difference) to answer my question before I place my first Festool order. It was always great service. Thanks Bob and enjoy your retirement.

I feel like a Festool chapter in its history is closing.  Being on this forum for many years, you easily start to connect the dots with who were the standout folks and retailers and without hesitation, had it not been for the issue of being in Canada and Festool's cross border shipping restrictions, I would have easily been dealing with you many times over the years for my Festool needs and purchases.  You just stood out as a class act Bob!

Bob, I congratulate you on your decision to retire...trust me, it's a wonderful thing, but also trust me that you'll probably be busier than ever given my experience over the past year. I also thank you for introducing me to Festool back in the early 2000s, and compliment you on your sales technique of leaving things behind for me to "try". LOL You were one dangerous dude to by wallet, my friend. Zero regrets, however!
