SilviaS7 said:Nooooo, Bob I don't want you to go! :'( :'( :'( I hope you enjoy your retirement, truly. I will miss ordering from you, even if it was for little tiny orders like sandpaper. I hope you can get back into woodworking and show off what you're working on here on FOG.

Mike Goetzke said:Bob congratulations! Hopefully I'll join you in retirement soon.
You were always the first place I went to when looking up Festool. I'm a serious hobbyist but you always took time to talk to me and many times talked me out of tools that weren't necessary for the job at hand.
Will truly miss the personal touch.
Mike
Thank you Mike. I appreciate that and always was careful of spending my customer's money.

My wife purchased my first Festool's from you for our anniversary gift to me a year and a half ago. You were great to work with. Then somehow we ended up on the phone talking about grills for what seemed like hours. Best of luck in your retirement.
Jesse Cloud said:Hey Bob,
Congrats on retirement, I highly recommend it. ;D ;D
Thanks for answering all my stupid questions.
I spent a lot of $$ on Festool, even buying some things I was a little skeptical of, because
I knew that if there was a problem I could count on Bob Marino to make it right - and you always
came through.
Best wishes for your next next chapter.

You have my heartiest congratulations on your imminent retirement. I highly recommend it.
As a fellow, early Festool dealer (I think you beat us to the punch though), you set a very high bar for us and all the dealers that followed. Your customer service was legendary (and darn tough to beat - it was hard to compete with nearly 24hr tech support!). Most of all, as a fellow dealer, you were friendly, ethical, and competed fairly. There were not many competitors with those qualities. You were truly one of the good guys!
Now, enjoy your retirement. Perhaps you will now have time to spend in the shop exercising those great tools you sold.
All the best, my friend.

You have been very good to me as a dealer all these years, not sure how long it's been but we were hanging out over at the "Oak" forum when I ordered my first Festool.
Your prompt attention and helpful advice has been appreciated all these years.
Best wishes in your retirement.

Being on this forum for many years, you easily start to connect the dots with who were the standout folks and retailers and without hesitation, had it not been for the issue of being in Canada and Festool's cross border shipping restrictions, I would have easily been dealing with you many times over the years for my Festool needs and purchases. You just stood out as a class act Bob!
All the best in retirement Bob!
Chance B said:My first experience with Festool was with Bob. If i remember correctly, he called me back on his personal cell phone after hours (time zone difference) to answer my question before I place my first Festool order. It was always great service. Thanks Bob and enjoy your retirement.
