[member=356]JimRay[/member],  So glad to see that Bob pulled you out of the lurking mode.  You too are a legend!

Peter
A huuuuuuuuuuuuge legend and a true gentleman. Jim did everything right and so very much deserves what he earned.

Bob congrats on your retirement!  You will be missed. I’ve enjoyed seeing you at the Connects over the past couple of years. Take care. Kurt

Bob, I congratulate you on your decision to retire...trust me, it's a wonderful thing, but also trust me that you'll probably be busier than ever given my experience over the past year. I also thank you for introducing me to Festool back in the early 2000s, and compliment you on your sales technique of leaving things behind for me to "try". LOL You were one dangerous dude to by wallet, my friend. Zero regrets, however!

Don't be a stranger... ;)

Best wishes! Jim

Thanks Jim. I remember those days and the hosting you did at your home for a Festool demo. Those were the days. We will have to catch up.....

It’s called Mayflower moving.
Only 30* this morning and warmed up to 60. I even got out to prune some vines today.
Rick.

Like many others my first Festools were purchased from Bob. And also like many others I had to  call  him on the  phone  to order. Pretty sure the order was ATF55, CT22, 2700 rail.

Always enjoyed our chats at Festool events, Bob.  [smile]

Perhaps you will have more time to enjoy your coffee and grilling  [thumbs up]

Seth

What.... WHAT. Well, okay, we will miss you.... [sad] [sad] [sad] [sad] [sad] [sad]

And yes, Beaver Tool is a good outfit.... But they're not YOU,    BOB...... [jawdrop]

Have a great retirement in whatever you are moving into next.

Al Pacino,  You've been a big help for me over the years, like others have said, even talking me out of a tool that I thought I needed.  Or selling me partial boxes of sandpaper when I've had a special project that I where I didn't need a whole lot.  From the brief times we've me at eventst, I've left with a nice lasting impression of you.
I've been fortunate enough to retire early a couple of years ago and it's true what people say, I never knew how I ever had time to go to work! ....provided your health is ok (it is ok, isn't it?)
I wish you all the best in the future!  You will be missed.

I think Beaver Tools are glad they are not me!  Thanks again.

Al Pacino? Yes, we Italian Americans do look alike. [wink] I appreciate your kind words and support all these years Jim. Yes, my health good - no worries there.

Best wishes on your retirement.

[scared] [blink] [huh]

Uhm........glad I introduced you to Festool.

Thank you!

Bob, I wish you all the best! Other than the jig saw and a guide rail, I got all my Festool stuff from you, first while we were in Chicago and continuing when we retired to Mississippi.  Haven't bought much in past 3 years; have gone the way of some of the older FOG guys and have been looking at Blue tools.  I always appreciated your honesty!

As I recall you had an avatar posted for a while with you holding a K80.  Hope you get to use that a lot in retirement!  Old age and football knees don't allow me to do much trap or sporting clays anymore.  Shoot while you can!

Best Wishes

DrD

I knew it! I knew that some day you would run out of bubble wrap!

Bob, I, as all who have written, (I only just got to this party and I have not gotten past the second reply yet), i feel happy for you. You were the one who alerted me to the Fog way back when we were on Yahoo. When i lost track, you steared me to the new site. I have bought many tools from you with no more than a phone call and a mental handshake of the promise both ways. I have never met you in person, probably never will, but I feel that you have been a good friend, as we all do. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get to use a few of the Festoys I am sure you have lying around. Enjoy your family.
Tinker
