I used a small bolt from my collection for the upper connection using the existing hole in the “catcher” that holds the router down.
Plus some small washers for the angle piece as I did not have a bottom tap yet to establish screw threads all the way down in the hole (used provided screw (a PItA) to create screw threads). Proper drill is included. Lots of “meat” in this area. Not necessary to drill a through hole....
Did not drill the router plate. Removed the pin (pic.1) and installed the DRO instead. I think after the router is already installed on the plate I don't need the pin anymore. I think the rest is self-explanatory.
Works well. I didn't test it yet in action .... but I hope it will work well.
The only concern is that the DRO unit is quite close to the body of the router and I am wondering could the electromagnetic field of the router somehow interfere with the DRO.
Any considerations in this regard?
