Hey, check this out-- 160163604297 (Ebay, Not A Sales Pitch) . Some kind of rotory surfacer or angle grinder, with side mounted DC. Festo. Anyone know exactly what this is?
Very cool , wish I needed one 8) Seems like that would be the tool that some of the FOG members need or needed instead of the ROTEX for fixing up concrete floors!
BTW I was thinking that Protool was under the same company umbrella as Festool - is that right?
So how does this work anyhow? The blades look like they rotate and would serate things and not at all leave a smooth surface much less take much off? I'm confused as usual....

It looks to me like that ring around the blades works sort of like a sanding frame on a belt sander. Controling the depth of cut. So I would guess that no serations would be left because ot will just keep removing until the high spots are all gone.
From what I could see it appears that Protool and Festool are both owned by Tool Technics. Is this correct. In addition a Timberwolf Tools out of Maine was listed as a USA Distributer. Anyone know anything about this? Fred
