here are some pictures of the new clamex p fittings

they have not been launched yet officially as I was not told, not to share so have a look.

the larger clamex is the standard one and is the male part of the joint the smaller female

part is the new clamex and can be fitted back to back in 18mm and less board

If you look you will see the back of the fitting is concave this is to allow one fitting to be fitted back to back in thin board [cool]

Thats interesting.

I was just demoing the Zeta and the Clamex P the last couple of days for our 50th anniversary at our branch. Alot of the guys really liked the idea but were put off by the price.

I have the zeta and use clamex a lot. The zeta is a HUGE price and the clamex are expensive - but I find it a joy to use and the fixings save a lot of time. As the clamex works like a biscuit jointer, I still feel ot is easier to use than the domino.

Thanks for the preview.
I love Lamello products, I have the biscuit joiner, and the lipping planner. Beautiful products and in my opinion as well made as Festool tools.

Lamello seems to be a very well managed company and I feel confident that they will be around as long as I use their tools. When I looked at purchasing the lipping planner, I was curious as to what the pricing was in the US compared to Canada and dollar for dollar they were the same. That may have been a coincidence.

Wow! [eek]
I started looking about 3 weeks ago for a Lamello biscuit joiner. I used one years ago to build a impae (really dense wood that sinks) floating deck for the water, go figure the guy wants wood that sinks for a floating deck. Anyway he had a Lamello biscuit joiner and we used hidden biscuits that had a screw hole to attach to the framing. The deck looked beautiful after we finished it without and fasteners showing. This was a few years before all of the hidden deck fasteners showed up on the market.

Well now I might have to fit the Zeta into the budget.  [smile]

I don't know if it's true but a guy from Lamello told me they only have 50 employees. However many they have, their tools are expensive but worth it IMHO
