Basically a carriage that holds a router with 4 cables to the corners and a motor to lift/lower the router in the carriage. Even works at a 75º vertical angle. Cheap, too ($525 plus router).

This is, essentially, a similar rig to how they fly the cameras above sporting events, like football and futbol. Cool stuff!

Having a number of CNC's myself, when I've seen these types of machines I just can't believe they actually work, I mean they look like they shouldn't work well, but they do!

SCM came out with something similar a while back. Seemed like a cool idea.
