For those interested in perhaps getting Peter Parfitt's Parf Guide System or other items from Axminster in the UK, I placed a small order with them on their site on Jan 1 or 2. They had to provide an airmail cost manually, so the order was completed Jan 3, shipped Jan 5 and arrived today in Nevada Jan 12. Great service from Axminster - THANKS!

That's good. I placed a small order with Axminster on Jan 6th after agreeing postage charges with them. I will report back when the order arrives here in Australia.
I must say the export team member at Axminster whom I dealt with was very helpful, as I say my order was only a small order but the service so far has been first class.

I've made two orders with Axminster to the East Coast of the US. First shipment arrived in a few days, but the second took several weeks. I tracked the second one as it traveled up and down the east coast and eventually back to the UK. I would assume the address label had an error that precluded the post office from finding me. Axminster then reshipped it and it eventually arrived.

As the others have said, the Rep in the export section was responsive, very nice, and very easy to deal with. I would definitely do it again, especially when you can get things from them that you can't get in the US (I got a Bosch router guide that runs along the Mafell track saw rails, which isn't available in the US).

UK option is becoming more feasible because of the exchange rate.  I ordered some accessories I can't get in the US from engineeringagencies.co.uk -- 100 grit granat 80x133 paper and the reducing coupler for D27 hose.  Week and a half turnaround time wasn't bad.

Got my parf guide kit today - roughly 10 days.  Good deal on parf dogs (compared to Lee Valley) if ordered with the kit because the additional shipping was miniscule.

I've ordered twice from Axminster (Zobo bits and the Parf Guide), great service, great communication and quick shipping!  As [member=37411]Edward A Reno III[/member] points out the more favorable exchange rate helps.  I tried to order the MFS 700 from them also but found that the templates have been discontinued in Europe also, wish I'd got to the MFS bandwagon earlier [sad]

They discontinued MFS in Europe as well?!!

Yeah - that stinks. I was wondering since it seems that parts were not showing up on web searches. Kind of a bum deal...

For Amazon members UK is running a special on 20th only. 10 off of 50 pounds. Can help reduce or eliminate shipping costs. I ordered a centering bit plus the mfk compatible bit.

Anyway hope this helps somebody.

Thanks.

Excellent!  Can you recommend an online retailer that will ship to the US?

Thanks!
