all of the tool releases that have come out including had a limited time offer. is that going to happen with these? i have not gotten the usual fliers. thoughts???????????????????????

Festool will no longer be offering tools (at least the ones coming out in May and the Kapex in July) at an "introductory price". I am sure fliers and other info will be coming out soon though.

price increase and no offer,,,,one two punch, i hope they do not start charging to see tools at distributors?

Same thing happened with Lie Nielsen tools. Once a company gets established in a market and people start to lineup for tools like the KAPEX it is hard to offer a discount because chances are the demand will be greater then the supply at first.

I think festool might be missing the boat a little bit. Creating urgency is the most basic sales tool, and introductory pricing helps push people over the fence sometimes.

Most of us last year around this time...
"let's see, do I really need the Domino?.. oh if I get one right away I save $50. Well I probably will buy it one day anyway, what the heck, I will buy it now and save."

That is the reason they announce their price increases. To Create urgency.
It is like a sale, without a discount.

I know if the Kapex was going to be about 10 percent less at initial offering I would take the bait.

But then again. Supply and demand. If they can't get enough on the shelves, why offer a discount.
