Attached to your worktop, connected to your guide rail, around the shop, or on the jobsite—the MTR-X is the ultimate compact woodworking triangle. Embodying all of the features of our popular MTR-18 but in a more compact form factor, the MTR-X includes a full array of useful accessories plus it connects directly to your guide rail for fast and accurate variable angle cuts. At a "just-right" size measuring 9.70" (246mm) along the square edges and 13.64" (346mm) on the long edge, the MTR-X is well suited for a variety of typical and not-so-typical triangle duties:

* The MTR-X can be directly attached to any 20x96mm worktop by way of two included TSO Triangle Dogs. Place the Triangle Dogs in your worktop and place the triangle over the dogs to establish a quick 45° or 90° reference edge.

* Need to dial in a custom angle? That's where the protractor assembly comes in handy. When assembled with the included pointer assembly, the MTR-X is transformed into a protractor for fine angle setting or—when inserted back into a 20mm worktop—a variable angle fence for cutting workpieces with a track saw.

* Need to cut angles on the go? The included connector makes it easy to connect the MTR-X directly to your guide rail, allowing you to precisely cut any angle between 0° and 90°. This specially designed connector's low profile means it won't interfere with your track saw during deep plunge cuts, yet it provides rock-solid, rigid attachment to your guide rail.

Hi Hans,
I have the big brother too and I love it. I love the new one too (esp the attachment that connects to the rails)
Questions:
1) Interoperability - Are the parts cross compatible? the pointer? Dogs? knobs etc?
2) Can we get a kit for existing owners where we get just the essentials without overlapping parts?
3) The rail attachment - can we buy that separately and connect it to the bigger square? Also is there a bosch/mafell version?

Thank you!

I hopped on the TSO website as soon as I saw this... unfortunately shipping to Australia has gone absolutely crazy :/

At $100 to get it here, it's just too expensive. Not limited to TSO - I used to get a lot of my CNC bits from ToolsToday, but they're similarly hit by the post COVID UPS cash-grab :/

I like the rail bracket too. I already have the MTR-18 and use it quite a bit but was thinking of getting this MTR-X too because of size and utility. But, it says it can cut 0 to 90 attached to the rail but to me looks like the angle pointing arm will hit the attachment bracket limiting the angle range. Or am I missing something?
