[size=18pt]Introducing a new and improved version of the GRS-16 PE Guide Rail Square! Our new GRS-16 PE "v2" retains all the benefits of the original design but adds several refinements, most notably a convenient and patent-pending rapid attachment feature. Simply insert the square at any point along the guide rail and clamp it in place—no need to slide it into the guide rail from the end or remove hose deflectors, clamps, or other accessories occupying the guide rail T-slot.

What else makes the GRS-16 PE v2 the best tool of its kind?

* Single-piece design that self-squares to 90° with no adjustments needed (and therefore, no points of failure in the future)

* Balanced design that is lighter than its predecessor despite being CNC machined from 25% thicker aluminum, with a mating vertical edge that now perfectly matches the height of your guide rail extrusion for maximum support and engagement

* Custom, stainless draw latch includes a resilient coating on the hook to grasp your guide rail and protect it from marring

* Notches to accommodate popular clamps like the Festool Screw Clamp (489570) and Quick Clamp (FS-HZ 160)

* Threaded M6 accessory mounting holes enable connection to the TSO Parallel Guide System and Angle Accessory

* Two squares fit in a single Systainer—see our Systainer Foam Insert and limited edition TSO Blue Systainer3 M 112 enclosure

And now through Monday, save 10% on the GRS-16 PE v2 as part of our Father's Day Sale! Discounts applied automatically, so no coupon code is needed. Sale ends 11:59 PM Eastern Time on Monday, June 19.

JUST RELEASED! GRS-16 PE D Guide Rail Square for DeWalt Track Saws
The proven design of the GRS-16 guide rail square has now been adapted to fit the DeWalt track saw system! Like the original GRS-16 and GRS-16 PE squares, the GRS-16 PE D makes it lightning fast to achieve dead square cuts with your DeWalt plunge saw.

MFT Aligned Upgrade Kit
Restore confidence in your MFT/3's accuracy with the MFT Aligned Upgrade Kit, which replaces Festool's stock plastic mounting brackets located on both the front and back guide rail supports with precision CNC-machined aluminum brackets. These new brackets are much more rigid and—because we're able to hold much tighter tolerances in aluminum—they also provide a more precise and uniform fit. The result is much stronger guide rail supports less prone to deflection and less likely to move out of square during normal operation.

TPG Parallel Guide System
Upgrade from the tape-measure-and-marking routine to a best-in-class system that will increase the speed, accuracy and quality of your parallel rip-cuts.

GRS-16 Guide Rail Squares for Festool, Milwaukee, Makita & Triton Track Saws
Our patented designs are born square through precision CNC machining and an innovative self-aligning latch mechanism. Simply slide the square onto your guide rail and lock it into place. Five seconds to square!

Padded Storage Bags for Precision Tools
Whether in the shop or on the job site, a little insurance for your fine tools is always a good move. Check out our new padded storage bags for guide rails up to 55" in length, parallel guides, and precision triangles.

Love the change! When I got the email, I checked mine to see if the dovetail-like lock was screwed on in case it could be upgraded but alas it's all part of the part.

This improvement might be enough to convince me to get one. The rail square I have is the Woodpeckers adjustable model. It's good for the reason I bought it, angled cuts. "Square" is not that big of a thing for me, I have access to plenty of ways to do that. The draw-back to the WP square is the weight, that thing is crazy-heavy.
Lightweight that I don't have to remove my hose defector for......yes.

I think you were the first to modify the MFK 700 to accept a long bit.

Looks like this mod is simply grinding off 1/2 off the T.

It would be nice is Hans confirmed.

Or offered the milling service for existing customers. If they have a good milling fixture they can probably do this quite efficiently.  If the cost was reasonable, I might send mine back for the retro-fit process.  I think a lot of people would do the same.

If they wait until they have a batch to mill, they could be very effiecient.

Of course the retro-fit squares would not have anodizing on the machined area.  Luckily, aluminum is naturally corrosion resistant.  And since there is little sliding involved, the greater hardness of the anodized surface probably would not be missed.

Ha! Yes, that would be me. I did look at mine to see if I could mill it. The 2.0 has a longer piece than the 1.0 dovetail-ish piece so my concern was that the straight piece I'd leave behind would be too small. Will think about it, though.  [tongue] I'd also bet that the new 'straight' piece actually has an angle towards the clamp. So maybe just mill off the outside angle of the dovetail

Interesting modification. The T shape did keep the square in place even while not clamped, so I could make small adjustments without having to hold the square in place. I wonder if the L shape will do the same.
Having said that - I am not a pro user, so probably the use case for needing to drop it in is a lot more than the need to make small adjustments anyway for most professionals.

The link for 'Padded Storage Bags' takes you to a page of bench dogs.

Hello Rick,
thank you for taking the time to bring this mis-direct link to our attention so we can fix it!
