In spite of the potential problems that have been raised in other threads (some of which I expect will really be problems), I am happy that Tanos is introducing this new design and am eagerly anticipating adding some of these new systainers to my collection.

I must say, the more i see of the t loc the more im liking it. Looks to be made better the the old systainer, and being able to get to tools in the middle of the stack is a great feature.

Answered many of the questions I had and I like the way the the actual T-lock seems to be high quality. I really think strength won't be issue or at least I don't think it will be as weak as everyone thinks it is.

I rather like them now.

Oh and uh a big [thanks] Mike. You have been doing a lot of work for us recently and I just want to thank you. Great work!

That video answers so many little questions. I could see trying to convert some of mine over to the T-LOC units when they start shipping larger sizes.

Sean Ackerman at http://www.systainerworld.com/ which is based in New York state is taking pre-orders now and says that they wiil start shipping on October 1.

Okay, I'm starting to like these a bit more.

I especially noticed that the new handles are curved versions of the 'smooth' Tanos handle, which I have definitely preferred on the Systainers.
Smart move!

Here's an interesting thought...  The ability to open a lower Systainer while the upper is still attached would be of particular value for tools which have consummables / accessories.  I.e. Have a T-loc stack with Domino and tenons below.  Or the Rotex with sandpaper assortment below.

However, thinking about the various other items that live in the Systainer with the main tool, I don't know that I'd want to flip it "vertical" and toss everything around.  Part of the Systainer / insert organization system is that things have their place. But nothing holds it in position, except gravity...

I saw the new T-Loc systainers today, and I have to say I was impressed.

The Festool rep told us some interesting facts about the systainers - firstly, Festool only take 10% of the systainers made by Tanos - the rest are sold to other tool manufacturers. In the UK (and possibly the rest of Europe), Festool has an exclusivity agreement on the T-Locs for the first 12 months, meaning no other tool manufacturers will be supplying them until this time next year.

Also, Festool recently sued Sortimo over the L-Boxx design, and won. Festool now get a percentage of every sale of the L-Boxx...

When I first saw the L-Boxx, I wondered how Tanos would react to it.  I don't usually agree with law suits, but this this time I do.

Good video, thanks. Also I noticed that on the inside of the lid of one of your new t-locs, the printed card includes a photo of how to fit everything in the systainer. Exactly 6 minutes in.

Finally! This detail has been on my wish list for ages.

I have taken one sys 3 on board a plane  as hand luggage a number of times.

I was thinking of giving my kids (aged 4 and 2) a sys 1 each to put their books and toys in, I would take a sys 1 too, I could attach them all together when going through the airport but separate them when on the plane.

Sounds much easier than having to dig through a big carry-on to find some tiny car or nic-nac!

Yeah, great idea, because it is so lightweight..
maybe the new carrying handle will go with this nicely, as you can put it to the front of the T-LOC.. haven't got it in time to be included in the Video, but it should be available soon.

[thanks] Great video!  I think this shows alot more than the Tanos video and also you've been able to clarify many questions. 

It appears the finish of the T-locs are smooth.  If so, it should be much easier to keep clean!

Also it looks like there is also a place to keep papers etc in the lid.  Nice...

Well spotted Richard.  I have been wanting something like that as well.

Please let me know if you do. I would love that too. Although I would imagine Festool would have put something like in the same section as the T-lock cards. So it makes me think that they aren't. However the T-lock cards are a step in the right direction.
