Hi
I have a set of Jet parallel clamps, and find they are good, I'd like to get some more and went searching the net as you do, and found Rockler has Irwin clamps at a considerably lower price than the Jets. Are the Irwin ones any good? Anyone have an thoughts on them?

thanks

I would not purchase any Irwin parallel clamps. I have seen only poor reviews on them. Check out your local Lowes store(s) and you might score a good deal on some bessey revos. You can check multiple stores and will see different prices for the same size of clamp. The best price I have seen was $26 for a 40" clamp (not a typo).

If you still want the Irwin clamp ,go to Home Depot they're clearing them out right now .

Wait,, they got RID of Jorgensen, to GET Irwin.. and now they're clearing out the Irwin??????  [blink] [blink] [blink]
I give up with these people........

Bessey's are great. You will not be disappointed with them. They are a bit more expensive but worth it IMHO.

I have the Irwin parallel clamps and I have been pretty happy and haven't had any issues. I have 8 of the 24" and 4 of the 48". You just need to be aware of not getting glue on the bar, but I think that's common with all brands. I have had them for about a year now and have used them a number of times. I am not a production shop, but have used them on a couple of cabinet builds and they were very useful. They seem to be similar to the Jorgensen parallel clamps.
