Is it possible to hook up a CT26 or CT MIDI to a Milwaukee Mitre Saw?

Wondering if anyone has done this?

I currently own the Milwaukee 12" Dual-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw and wondering if there are any adapters available that we know would work with this or allow a connection to be made to it for dust collection? Or am I completely out of luck there?

I've hooked up Festool extractor (CT26 or 15) or shop vacs (various brands) to any power tools I wanted using hoses of various diameters, stock adapters, etc. Be creative.

Someone has custom made adapters using pvc pipes and a heat gun, and the video has been posted on FOB.

Not sure how the dust port of the larger Milwaukee saw compares to the smaller M18 7 1/4” saw, but I recently picked one up and was pleasantly surprised to discover my Festool 36mm hose fit right on with no adaptors needed.

Shockingly, it has as good or better dust capture as my Kapex!

I also have the 7 1/4 M18 Milwaukee and have used my Festool hoses as well as my Milwaukee 18v packout vac and my Metabo 18v. Have also used all the above vacs with my Festool saws, routers and jointers.

The 2733-20's port doesn't compare to the big saws' port.  The big saws have a large oval casting that doesn't fit anything stock/standard.

Just took a look at the online pictures of the saw, and it reminded me of something I've done for similar fittings.

The plumbing department of the big boxes have flexible rubber couplings with stainless hose clamps. There's quite a range of sizes and steps from large to small. I've put those on "non-round" dust ports before and obtained a reasonable seal with the hose clamp. Might be worth a shot.

I think Jeff is referring to Fernco fittings.

I've used several of those flex fittings and they work really well. I'll have to look at the sizes I purchased because I can't remember if you size up or down when adapting these to vac hoses. I think you size down -- 2" flex for 2-1/2" vac hose maybe? -- but will confirm.

Edit: Yes, 2” flex fits 2-1/2” ports

This is a waste of time/fools errand.

The cast port is such a large and odd shape that a fernco or other plumbing fitting won’t work.

Once you have the OEM Milwaukee or other custom fitting , your vac hose will fit right in without further adapters.
