My drill batteries are starting to die faster and faster and saw that the c12 has a pretty nice discount right now.

Is there a c12 package that includes stuff like the eccentric adapter, depth stop adaptor,  and other accessories or do I have to get the drill then buy the accessories one by one.

Also, what does the drill do when the charge starts to get low. Mine will just stop rather than getting weaker and weaker which is kinda cool except when it stops with the bit embedded in a piece of wood  [unsure]

thnx...Steve

You can always purchase replacement batteries!  I use the NiMh batteries and they last well...there's a noticeable slow down when the batteries are dying on my drill.  There is not set that includes the depth stop chuck...that is a separate purchase, but the full set will give you the eccentric, right angle, keyless and centrotech chucks.

There was a set that included everything but the depth-stop chuck, as noted above.  Now that the C12 is being replaced with the new version due out this fall, I'm not sure that the set is being advertised, but some dealers may have some in stock.  I picked up the 2.4ah set back in February in the recon sale for under $300, and have been using it ever since- it's the best drill I've ever owned.

Regarding the batteries, they typically just stop- they don't seem to get weaker as they loose their charge.

ah thnx, didn't realize a new model was coming out.

You can always purchase replacement batteries!
and I am trying to find an excuse to buy another Festool  [big grin]

I got the C12 set while it is on clearance so that it can eventually become a second drill when the C15 comes out, and to save about $90 or so on the price of the C15 because I can just move the extra chucks from one systainer to the other...

Make sure you really need the depth stop chuck though; I suspect most people who think they need it will probably wind up not using it much if at all, which is probably why it's not included in the set -- it just has a more targetted user base, while most people would find ways to use all of the other ones?
