Is there a way to check motor in MINI/MIDI?

I apologize i couldn't find the answer to this in my searches as i'm sure its a dead horse. Is there a way to check the motor/cfm through serial number or other identification?

The change over to the upgraded versions of the MINI and MIDI took place in mid-2011. Look at the manufacturing date on the serial number tag on your CT. If it's after June-ish 2011, then you have the updated model. It's extremely unlikely that any of our dealers have inventory nearly 2 years old at this point.

thanks for the information. the said unit would be second hand. it does have a white (hepa?) filter in it. would that clue us into the age?

The HEPA filter did start coming standard with the Mini/Midi at the same time that the motor was upgraded. Of course, the filter on your unit may have been changed.
