Is there any difference between the OF 1010 EQ early production and now?

I am looking at a used OF 1010 EQ router that the owner claims he bought 15 years ago. Is there anything I should be concerned about product wise, not wear, with a machine that is so old?

I am relatively new to the Festool world and I was not aware the OF 1010 EQ had been around that long.

i lockt up a german catalog from 2009. There have ben different options:

EBQ – Electronic Brake Plugit (today the only one wich is still available)
EQ –  Electronic Plugit (no Brake)
Q – Plugit

As a Moderator I can see that you appear to be in the US.  For all practical purposes the 1010 tool itself hasn't changed tool-wise to the best of my knowledge.  What might have changed over the years here in the US is "the scope of delivery" for the tool.  In other words - what is included with the tool.  Older models would likely include more versus less.  Collets included would a thing to check for instance.

The 1010 is a great router for lighter tasks.  At the right price you might be getting a bargain.

Thanks for the help. I'm not sure it is a bargain, but supposedly there are some additional items such as a 91" track with the 32 mm hole set. We'll see.

Well, I bought it. [big grin] $400.00 for the OF 1010 EQ Plus router, the old style systainer, 95 inch track, and the 32 mm hole making set (apparently before Festool put them in a systainer). Not the buy of a lifetime, but I don't think I got hurt.

The track has never had a saw run down it as he used it strictly for the hole making set which he claims he only used twice.

Thanks again for the help.
