Is this piece for the saw track?

I have two of these 6' black plastics strips and cannot remember how I got them or what they are for. They seem to fit channel in the saw track, but that may be just by chance, so I am wondering if anyone knows if that is what they are for.

Looks like weather stripping of sorts, but def nothing to do with Festool

Looks like something to close off a channel to hide mounting screws.  I remember pieces like then when I installed some aluminum storm doors.

They are similar to 8020 slot closure strips that I have used.
