Is Titan abrasive compatible with water based finishes?

I'm sanding down acrylic latex primer and Brilliant corns so fast I can barely sand one side of one cabinet door per sheet (ETS 125 medium speed, no suction, using the paper sack). Titan lasts for a couple of doors and wears down before it corns as badly.

Now I'm worried about the release coating on the Titan. Will I have to go back and re-sand lightly with Brilliant?

I searched and found this,

"I find that the finer brilliant papers clog immediately but the titan papers are far better- especially when used with the interface pad.

Strangely the Festool USA site does not recommend Titan for water based paints whereas the Festool Europe site does recommend the Titan."

Anyone know for sure if Titan is compatible with water based finishes?

Michael, I don't think you'll have any issues using Titan in a pinch, but it's not the recommended abrasive for this application.

At one time, sterated abrasives would cause issues with water based finishes. Based on the information that I've received from Germany, our abrasive technology has advanced and overcome these issues.

I would recommend using Granat.

That is pretty much my situation. I ordered Granat at the same time as the Titan but the supplier had a shipping problem so it's either Titan or Brilliant 'till Tuesday.

Thanks for the answer Shane, it's the one I wanted to here too.
