Well anyway, I guess I did it again. Got a bit carried away when I actually just went shopping for a 27mm hose connector and a few sys 1 to sort out some screws and little bits and bobs.
The 2 systainers I needed ended up being a sys-roll, sys 1,2,3 + toolbox and some foam inserts.
And of course I couldn't resist trying out an RO-90. I was there anyway right?
Yeah, so that little joyride ended with me absolutely not being able to live without one and an additional hard pad & abrasives systainer.
On the way home it just hit me, what just happened  ??? and how on earth am I gonna explain this  [scared] ...

She'll never let me out of the house again..., not to mention I'll probably not get any for a long time to come

Breath deeply and then use each of your tools.  You can explain that now that you wouldn't feel right returning them.  Go get a bottle of wine and work on other things (no Festools required I hope  [eek])

the best way to solve this probelm  is to go out to the shop and organise a load of stuff iinto those systainers. get a rough lump of timber and sand it smooth.
sit back and look at the great job you just did.
then open the festool calague and see whats next.

I bought an RO90 this week and did exactly this and showed it to my other half. She couldn't believe how good a job it had done. I also told her it will be great for all the decorating she wants us to do (there is a nice subliminal message there that I will actually DO some decorating).

I am having a hard time hiding a 8' tall bandsaw and 8' tall drill press though.

I still have her convinced they are just big ghost's for halloween.

I guess I have it easy in this regard. I just tell her when the items are to be delivered, how many boxes to expect, and what it cost. She has come to realize that these deliveries pay for everything else she has.

Funny,  I just bought a CXS, empty sys 1 and empty sys 2.   Then a couple days after I received my toys, 2 boxes with 4 pair of shoes show up at the front door.  With a new winter coat on order.

We both work and have no kids.  So, we buy what we want.  All with in a budget.  She knows what I spend on my tools, and I know how much money is in her closet.  We each have our own weakness.   [wink]

Even if you have a kid, for instance my baby girl, she's gonna need a toy chest, bed and tree house, at the least, right?

I tell my wife "you can go to ikea, but it ain't the same, never will be. My grandfather passed ages old furniture down to me, I'm just reviving a legacy." And I make like I'm singing it, hopefully my wife gets "it".

Either way, I just got an OF1010. Apart from some serious collet confusion, that's a badass tool.
