Hey all!
A bit chronologically unconventional (denial induced procrastination), but I owe it to you guys directly to 'fes up that I am no longer with K-119 as of last Friday. A hard decision, but I've decided to try my hands at a startup with a friend, so do please send your blessings and wish me luck! (there are a couple other secret capers I am trying to pull off; keep reading to find out!)
It's been an incredible 3-year run for me, and I thank you all for such an absolute treat to be a part of the Festool universe!
In the mean time, up until my Festool knowledge becomes obsolete (hopefully not too soon), do please feel free to find me here on the FOG with any questions or concerns about the Festool System and I'll answer as best I can. For more direct assistance, do please rest assured that our staff at K-119 are just as well versed in Festool as I am
Not much of a surprise anymore, but a special shoutout goes to my East Coast heroes, Mr. Bob Marino and Sean Ackerman of ToolNut, the benchmarks I've set for myself and K-119 to be on par with over here on the West Side. While you guys may applaud Bob's fort knox packaging and Sean's lightning quick responsiveness, so much hard work and due diligence goes into making every order happen at the level they play at, and the inspiration and awe never ceases to amaze me. Very much thanks for the guidance and support, Bob and Sean!
And of course, I wouldn't be here without you all, you awesome awesome Festooligans. Thank you all so very much for your continued support of Festool and the K-119 family!
Sincerely,
Philip Sun
ps: Secret Caper #1 - I've also submitted my resume to Festool USA for a fancy position with a shiny desk. *fingers-crossed
pps: Secret Caper #2 - While I've requested a letter of recommendation from Festool Shanghai for Caper #1, Festool CN "offered" me something different. I have yet to receive my letter of recommendation though...
ppps: Secret Caper #3 - A very select few of you guys know that a skunkworks project that I started (but never got around to finishing) was a now offline http://festoolbox.com. As a parting gift, K-119 has transferred the domain to me.
pppps: Secret Awesome Freebie! - Almost forgot. FREEBIE GRAPHICS! So I made some desktop backgrounds and logos for FestoolBox, which I will release here for you guys for free download
ppppps: Oh. FestoolBox also had some pretty nifty social media support, of which I'm most happy with my Pinterest page. Check it out at https://www.pinterest.com/festoolbox/
pppppps: I suppose at this time, Mr. Holland, Shane, Sir, if I could please trouble you to remove my shiny Dealer badge (is there an ex-Dealer badge?! ;D)
