I've got handtool addiction judging by my list

When I dove into the “nice chisels” pool, I really went overboard. I bought a bunch of Lie Nielsen AND a bunch of Blue Spruce chisels. Both tools have almost no side lands. I prefer using the LN chisels. Knew Concept fret saw, a couple of Bad Axe saws, a few other tools round out the kit. Oh, and the Stubby Hammer really helped my chisel control.

After a lot of practice, I can do repeatable through dovetails. I’m just starting to learn half blind dovetails.

This is fun stuff and I don’t have to wear hearing protection.

I already have fistfulls of decent chisels, but none had the right form for dovetails, so I felt I needed to trim the budget on this set otherwise I had previous had a long and hard look at som Japanese  made by Ouchi that are specifically made to do dovetails,... alas they are rather high priced, my set of 5 chisels cost the same as one of the Ouchis and with a 2 month wait for them to be fabricated and shipped so I just went the cheap and cheerful route this time around. I went for the expensive Knew Concepts fret saw though.. [eek]
