I have received a lot, a lot of email from people who are confused about the entry requirements for the january contest.

To simplify it as best as I can, All you have to do is enter your project whatever it is in the members projects.
You ''DO NOT"" have to be nominated by someone else to be in the polling.  If you want to be eligible for the prize you can put your own entry in the poll. Don't be bashful and feel your project isn't good enough. You can't have a chance of winning if you don't enter. Too many people and projects will be missed out if they wait for everyone else to search through all the members projects.

The voting for the ten finalists will be from the people who are in the entry's listed on the contest header and took the time to enter themself or were nominated from someone else from the member posts.

You do not have to have a ton of documentation, a few simple pictures and a brief description is all that's needed. If you do have more than that that's great, and a link to the post would be great.

So if you want to be in the contests, post in member projects and then the contest, Matthew will get your project in the poll.

Hope this helps to clarify its really easier than it looks.

Remember You can't win if you don't enter.

Bill,
Thanks for your message.

The contests we run here are always kept as simple as possible, while adding new and interesting elements.  When contests involve member projects, all you have to do is post a project in the "Member Projects" section to be entered.

The whole idea of these contests is to bring more attention to the great projects people are already posting.

I should add that this point is always noted in each month's contest description.  For January, you can see the contest description by clicking right here.

Thanks,
Matthew
