I am planning on buying a sander soon.  I don't know if I am caught up in marketing hype or not, but on the Festool website the 150 mm non-Rotex sanders boast the "jetstream" technology, where air is blown out the center hole and dust is sucked in at the periphery.  Does the ETS 125 have this feature?  Is this feature valuable?

Yes,

RO-125 and ETS-125 do have central hole and peripheral holes that described in JetStream. (9 holes Festool Pattern). 150mm pads have 9 holes and 17 holes patterns.

It does have the 9 hole pattern, but not the new multi-jetstream of the 150, but according to Festool the new multi-jetstream isn't needed on the smaller sanders.  I've been extremely happy with the dust collection on both my ro125 and ets125 sanders.

I have both an ETS 125 and ETS 150/3, and in my experience the dust collection on both is quite good with their original pad hole designs.

I used my RO125 hooked up to a CT22 to sand down my desk in an air conditioned office with sealed windows, and there was barely a speck of dust anywhere when I had finished. So while the new Jetstream tech may be an advantage for larger sanders, I would not be able to notice the difference for the RO125.
