Does anyone have any experience with the jigsaw blade S 155/W for cutting rigid foam?  I was looking for something that wouldn't make a mess.  I do have a electric hot knife but i seem to set off the smoke alarm if i am inside doing long cuts.

Festool usa "The S 155/W jigsaw blade is engineered to cut rigid foam and fiberglass insulation, cardboard, foam rubber, and similar materials up to 5 inches. The undulating blade is designed to give fast and clean cuts in materials that are normally processed with a box cutter or knife."

James, this blade will do the trick, but it's going to produce flakes/dust from the cut. Jigsaws, by nature, are not able to capture all of the dust because it drops out of the bottom of the cut.

If you are comfortable with it, try putting the saw under the work and pulling it toward you. I think you'll find the dust/dross collection better, the sight line better, and it might even be easier with a little practice.

I always use two vacuum cleaners. I just apply the 2nd hoose close to the blade at the bottom side. This gives very good dust collection.
