Do any of the festool cordless jigsaws have blowers to get the dust off the cut line?
Looking for a new jigsaw with that feature, I think one of the makita chordless has one(not sure how well it works) but it’s tbe D style handle and I kind of feel like newer lower handle styles are better?

The Carvex does „blow“ dust away from the cut line.
Even if it is not mentioned in the specs.

I can try and share a quick video tonight, if that helps.

I have a cordless 420, barrel grip.

I have 4 Carvex saws, 2 corded & 2 cordless. None of them blow dust away from the blade. It has never caused a big problem for me.
I just blow the dust away when needed. The Carvex is designed to be used with a dust extractor, so a dust blower would defeat that design.
I have 2 older Bosch jig saws that have dust blowers & a lever that turns it on & off.

I mainly want the blower because I cut a ton of plywood and end up using a dust mask so I can't blow it off my line.
does the dust extractor work well? not sure I want a hose for a cordless unit.

for the bosh jig saws are they cordless? I was hoping makita has a blower on their chordless

My Grandpa had a D-Handle and I never really got to grips with it.
I‘ve been using barrel grips ever since. When the one my Dad gave but the dust, I got the Carvex.

I like it first of all because it feels well made. The barrel could be slightly thinner for my hands, but other than that no complaints.

In general I feel like having more control on the barrel grips on every cut.

I was not able to shoot the video, yet. Too busy. Will do over the weekend...

If airborne dust is a concern, a blower is the last thing you want. Maybe consider a Mafell P1cc, if you don't mind spending a bit more.

I have the barrel Carvex (battery powered) and really like the ergonomics.
I had the D handled corded first and really appreciate the barrel grip now.  Especially when I'm cutting from the bottom.

I've noticed a few times when cutting a long run of plywood that I loose visibility of my line.  But I don't use it that way often and I can attach the vacuum hose if I want.
With the cordless I don't usually want to attach the vacuum hose though. :)
On the plus side, it's not like the track saws where you'd be blowing dust forward and backwards without the dust collection.  The Carvex tends to pile around your cutting area.  With a blower I'd imagine a lot more of the dust ends up airborne.
If you're able to cut from underneath your ply it's even easier to see the line.

The Mafell internal motor acts as a blower channeling air flow down one side of the base, across the cut line and then extracts the dust at the rear of the machine base.

Starting at 9:35 this video explains the system.

Sounds good, does it work?

I don't think the jigsaw type saw lends itself perfectly to dust extraction the way a well designed circular/track saw does, but the reviews seem quite positive. It's been on my list for ages but it's pricey for a tool I don't use that often. If you're already considering a Carvex it's not a huge price increase though.

Sorry for the late update. I need to check if I can upload the video somewhere.

Below is a screenshot from the video where you can see the sawdust being moved along a considerable distance from the saw.
Obviously you need to have the “shield” up for this.
But to me this constitutes a blower.

I hope this helps.
I will have some days off this week and check if I manage to get some better shots.

airborn is not a concern I'm wearing a mask so I can not blow the line away. I just want to be able to see my line and be cordless
