For our overseas brethren that have a Carvex... or our illustrious Festool admins (I can totally envision Shane jogging back to the warehouse to check this out).

> Do any/some/all of the accessories for the PS2E / PS300 jigsaws fit on the Carvex model?

Some of the accessories are common between the two older models (e.g. circle cutter).  And some are different (e.g. guide rail base plate).
Any information on what fits and doesn't?

Pretty sure nothing fit the Carvex apart from Carvex accessories. It a compleate new system and its having some problems at the moment.

While I don't claim to be an expert on the Carvex, based on what I do know you will only be able to use the splinterguards and blades from the old one. I know... not much.  The base plate(s) were redesigned with the Carvex to add functionality.  In doing so, the old accessories like the circle cutter, parallel guide and others do not work.

So for those who had the old 300 jigsaw and have swopped to the new 400 series.

Assuming the 'great ! a new toy to play with feeling' has worn off, and its just another tool now, is it really that much better ? I mean, after spending ?200 on the 300 (240v) I can't justify the ?500 for the 400, well not for a couple of years anyway.

John, that's interesting.  I am having an issue with the blade coming out of the "v" guide.

What problems are you having.  I don't have any of the accessories yet, just bought the bare bones jigsaw 240v.

Cheers, Woodguy.

Hi Alan,

I would advise any one thinking about purchasing a Carvex , to do some research and concider their decision very carfully before going ahead at this moment in time and buying this version. Sorry for that political answer. Any one who has a Carvex I would advise that you examine it carefully and assess its operation in its basic form and working with it`s accessories.
