I see yours from 1/31.

If someone didn't receive a confirmation email, let me know via PM or email and I'll check on it for you.

Is the swag bag prize something that anyone's seen before?

Looking forward to seeing you guys. Last year I met the dude who did the bench for me. Going with him this year. Good connections, Eric

I told you it's a green-tinted monocle.

You'll just have to wait and see.  [big grin]

Dumb question..Will people be able to buy tools at the Connect event?

Festool doesn't sell direct, so no. Sorry.

But you will have the chance to win some freebies.  [thumbs up]

While Festool does not sell tools directly, in the past, there were always some local Festool vendors that were more than happy to sell you anything, and everything, you wanted. ;)

My approach was to visit the Festool booth, look over their new offerings and then order from my usual go-to online vendor.  I am certain I am not the only one that takes this approach.  If you see something on day one and order it from your preferred vendor via cellphone from the exhibit hall, you may have a new Festoy waiting for you on your doorstep when you return home.

This could get ugly.  [smile]

Guess that depends on your definition of ugly... :)  "Me" ugly, or credit card draining ugly.  [eek]

Sounds like a cool event, worth getting up early and driving to.

Yes, it is a very cool event.

This is the second year that Festool is having their Festool Connect event.  Last year's was a great time that was had by all.  Even if you do not make Festool Connect, the exhibit floor is worth a day or two.  I've been coming to this thing, off and on, for decades and learn something new every time.

If I may suggest. If you intend to visit the vendor booths and watch a number of their demos and some of the JLC sponsored classes being held, one day will just not do...  As in many years past, four of us are attending and we split the classes and demos, two people per team and still do not see everything we wish.

You ugly? nooooooo..Judging by your avatar pic you're a real dish! I meant, Cash draining ugly! [eek]

Finally got my travel booked - what a day.  I will not post my rant against an airline here - I will save that for Facebook.  Looking forward to meeting more of you and seeing the cool tools coming soon.  This will be a blast!

Peter

What's the plan for dinner Thurs night. Should we be trying to book a reservation? Maybe try to get an idea of how many dudes are gonna be there? If we are rolling deep, we might not even be able to get sat, especially in a city. Let me know what you guys think? I could look into booking something, Eric

We are anticipating a large crowd on Thursday. Doors to open by 9am. If you registered for Connect, lunch is on us. We'll have plenty going on throughout the day to keep everyone engaged and entertained. Be sure to hang out for the entire event, which is scheduled to end around 4pm. Prizes and surprises are on tap.

Festool is also pleased to invite you to the first-ever State of the Industry event on Friday, March 22nd, 2013 from 2:00pm - 3:00pm in Ballroom E on the 5th Floor of the convention center. This exclusive free event will feature in-depth economic trend analysis of the American remodeling sector, and offer critical insights that can influence the future of the industry.

With the remodeling industry consistently changing, remodeling contractors need to be ready for potential opportunities and threats that could affect their business. Understanding market trends, where the highest potential work will be, and an overall industry analysis can help you position your business better and be prepared for inevitable changes.

The State of the Industry will be delivered to a private group during the JLC Live. And we want you to be a part of it.

We hope you can join us. Will we see you there? Please only click the link below if you plan to attend. No pre-registration is required to attend. Thank you.
