JLC Providence - Festool Connect 2013 - March 21st

Try some fine pizza at The Nice Slice. Up the hill on Thayer Street.
And Rhode Island School of Design Museum has a huge collection, few minutes walk from downtown:

and woodworking related:

They also have an outrageous woodshop, but probably tough to get in...

Some metal work going on display during the event:

See you all up there Thursday!

45 minutes out of Providence. And I must say the Amtrack ride was a great way to travel.

Well I had a very nice surprise after getting off the train in Providence.
Peter Halle was there in the station waiting for me!
He's a class act.

Got to catch up with Bob and Peter for a bit this afternoon and just met Seth for the first time. It's been a crazy busy day getting ready for Connect tomorrow. It's going to be awesome, so be sure to catch the live stream if you can't make it.

Woot!

Had a quick (unauthorized maybe a bit) peak into what's set for tomorrow
and would echo that this will be a wow of a time.

Is Al Pacino coming to this thing?!

sorry everybody if you are looking for the guy with the american flag bandana, I will not be there this year, tough decision and really will miss.. first time in 7 yrs...
my oldest daughter is getting married june 8 in san diego ca and I have to allocate money to her for wedding expenses plus the cost of the trip and my other daughter I have had to help her pay rent etc.  so my play money disappeared quickly this last several months.

so have fun and I will be there next year for sure..  plus tickets to fly from GA  to Providence have run 400-600 round trip plus etc food rooms etc...

so enjoy and will miss you all very much as this is my funniest trip every year. but hey family needs help, and I need festools this time family won out ! :(

That's the worst news ever. Where am I gonna get my beadboard? It won't be the same without you. Please text me a dirty pic sometime during the day, for old times sake. I will share it with the boys in your honor, Eric
