anyone got a link to their class schedules? googled for "festool class schedule" and didn't get anything usefull.

There's not a schedule per se.  Classes are added to our training schedule from time-to-time.  I have traditionally made announcements for new classes on the forum.  Classes are limited to eight people maximum, some classes only six.  You can set a notification on the forum in the Festool How-To section to be alerted to new posts which will eventually include additional end-user training events.

I am seriously thinking of getting an MFT/3, and these videos have turned it up a notch.  [scratch chin]

Just an update...........

Just ordered an MFT/3, but it will not be alone on it's trip to me, Domino is coming along for a ride too! ;D

So thanks again for this post,  [big grin]

Now has anyone got a fool proof way to stop me setting or forgetting to set the correct depth so I don't put some nice notches in the ali' frame? (apart from a 4x2 around the back of my head!) [laughing]

WOW! You did not even go to the class and the class cost you money. sounds like the class are a real success for Festool. Every time they put on a class there is a upswing in orders.
 
Tippex a mark on the depth scale for the wood thickness you use most often. Or use a limit stop to prevent moving the blade too far. "In the interests of full disclosure" I have not tried either of these methods but an MFT is winging its way towards me as we speak and I definitely want to keep the aluminium profiles intact.

The angle arm:

Technically, it will work with the 1400, but we don't recommend it because of the size and weight of the 1400.
 
There is no edging plate designed specifically for the 1400.  So, there's no 1400-compatible solution.

Fine, Festool doesn't recommend it, but..... While the chip deflector won't fit, the edging plate and angle arm do and will work with the 1400.  Long term will the weight of the 1400 effect the edging plate and angle arm, I don't know.
